something about human presence disquiets me

Some traits from my internally unsettling teenage years come back and poke their heads out of my seemingly flat mirror surface. That is, love with ardor and hate with passion.
I can never wrap my head around it.
But, I must conclude, I must be utterly, utterly misanthropic.
