After dining at the Tibetan Lounge on Queen St., having had the same dish (Tibetan Chili Chicken) just like I did before I watched the last Harry Potter movie with my sweet friends, I went on to watch the newest Harry Potter (and the Half-blood Prince).
My feeling is just that the movie is trying too hard to be narrative, trying to catch up with the books and the expectation of the fans; it kind of lost some of the movie quality it should have. When Dumbledore died, it wasn’t so sad or shocking as it was in the movie (okay, maybe we all know how the story goes, so it takes away a bit of that surprise.. but still, I wouldn’t have minded if there were more suspense).
The last book is still sitting on my shelf. For some reason, my subconscious just refuses to read it. Perhaps it wants the story to never end – albeit knowing it’s impossible. I still have a slightest hope that Snape isn’t on the evil side….. I really hope so. But from what I heard, this is not the case. :(
And Steph, I really miss called our chemistry class “potion class” in high school!

These days I have a craving for Korean food. One of the sauce that is a must in some of my favourite Korean dishes use this Cho Kochujang sauce – I think it’s called.
Just for my own record, I’m put the ingredients here.
Ingredients:
* 5 Tbsp Kochujang (Korean chili pepper paste)
* 1 Tbsp sugar
* 2 Tbsp honey
* 3 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
* 2 tsp minced garlic
* 1 tsp sesame oil
Preparation:
1. Mix all ingredients together until well-blended.
2. If sauce consistency is too thick, thin out with some warm water.
I am going to attempt to make bibimbap sometime this week. We’ll see what happens. :D

I had not realized until a few days ago that I will be moving out of this apartment in a week! The apartment I’ve been living throughout the four years of my university life.
Today I went to pick up my diploma – a piece of well-embellished paper, earned with four years of joy and struggle. I’m so happy that at the end it only acts as a sign of a statement, not the goal or purpose of my four years of work.
Today I also had an amazing 2.5h rehearsal, and I cannot wait for the Schubert quintet rehearsal next week! Something about chamber music and summer is just like your favourite drink and your favourite book. So sweet.
Sometimes I’m so glad I’m a musician – as a choice of profession, hobby, lifestyle and philosophy.
Without the music that is in my life right now in the summer, all of my daily errand-running, packing, calling people I need to call, filling out documents, crazily looking f or a place to stay in NYC for the first two months would be so much of a drag.

Due to my sudden change of summer plan which took place a month ago, I had not signed up for anything musical-related over the summer, which is a little sad.
Fortunately, Luri and Soo proposed that we do the Brahms piano trio Op.8 as well as the Schubert’s Trout quintet for a concert in mid-August, I am so excited about it. Thanks for the opportunity! As well, I got some accompanying gig so it seems like I’ll be learning some Beethoven violin sonatas. Ach! My heart sings with joy. :)
