I have finally made the decision to register my own domain name. And this will be my personal blog which will not have much to do with the rest of my website, and is open to friends and those who are interested in following my little life. :)

Happy Canada Day! For the first time in my life I feel very proud to be Canadian. I had always felt a sense of awkwardness when I read on my passport that my nationality is “Canadian” because after all, I had stayed in China longer than I have in Canada – it always surprised me when I consider myself as Canadian. But now, I feel like a Canadian and I take pride in it – perhaps because I have completed my post-secondary studies in a Canadian university and I am moving to a US city, this sense of belonging is accentuated.
